Plat of Survey Information

To request a land survey we'll need at least one of the following to get started:

  • Property Address
  • Property Index Number
  • Legal Description
Completion times are in as little as a few days from the initial order. Our expedited service can have a survey available
within 1 day. A survey field crew will visit your property to measure and obtain the necessary data. This information is
then used to generate a plat of survey. All surveys are computer generated signed and sealed legal documents that
can be used for any real estate purpose whatsoever. A minimum of 4 copies are provided. Unless a previous arrangement
has been made, payment is expected prior to releasing the plats. Payment can be made on line, over the phone or in person.

Basic Land Survey Descriptions are as follows:
All surveys start out as a "Land Survey". The minimum requirements for these will show a closed boundary and all the
subject properties improvements up to and including the adjacent properties within 3 to 5 feet. Improvements are buildings, additions, walks, patios, fences, etc. Staking can be added to the survey. This is done by physically monumenting the
boundary corners of the property with iron pipes or rods and/or other marks or reference marks placed in a concrete
walk or curb on or near a boundary corner. Topography can be added to either survey. This is performed in relation to an established bench mark elevation or an assumed elevation. Ground elevations will be taken on a grid layout generally up to
and including a 25 foot perimeter outside the property and to the center of the street. All visible utilities with necessary
invert elevations are added also.
